Seito Kan Institutional Definitions

1) Seito Kan is the name of the martial arts organization established by its founder Mr. Guillermo A. Garcia during the decade of the 1970's. This organization name has change during the past decades due to personal decisions made by its founder. Due to that fact all previous names of Seito Kan are components of its structure such as: the Okinawa Shorin Ryu Soken-ha Matsumura Seito, the Seito Kan Shorin Ryu Machimura-ha Suidi, the Seito Kan Okinawa Shorin Ryu Machimura Autudi Tuidi, the Seito Kan Okinawa Hakutsuru-jutsu, the Seito Kan Hakutsuru Ken, the Seito Kan Okinawa Kobudo, the Seito Kan Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate-Do, the Puerto Rico Martial Arts Council, Seito Bujutsu Kokusai Renmei, Seito Kan Nippon Kenjutsu Kokusai Renmei, Seito Kan Nippon Aiki-Bujutsu Kokusai Rengo Kai, the Aiki-Goju Ryu, the Aiki-Goju Ryu Budo Kai, the Aiki-Zen Kei, the Shorei-ha Shorin Ryu, the Seito Kan Okinawa-te, the Seito Kan Okinawa Shorin Ryu, the Seito Kan Karate-Do, the Orenai Yoshin Ryu, the Tenshin Omon Ryu, the Aich’i Shukua T’ang, and the Kuang Shen Pai.

2) Every martial art style taught in Seito Kan as of a Seito Kan component is inherent to the Seito Kan founder; consequently being autonomous due to the fact that Mr. Guillermo A. Garcia is the sole founder, original proprietor, and titleholder of all the martial arts styles and/or traditions of Seito Kan.

3) There are four martial arts currently taught at Seitokan; namely – Okinawan Karate, Okinawan Kobudo, Japanese Aiki-Jujutsu, and Japanese Kenjutsu.

4) The Okinawan Karate and Kobudo styles taught at Seito Kan shall be known as: Okinawa Shorin Ryu Soken-ha Matsumura Karate Kobudo, Seito Kan Okinawa Kobudo, Seito Kan Okinawa-te, Seito Kan Okinawa Shorin Ryu, Seito Kan Karate-Do, Seito Kan Kobudo, Seito Kan Okinawa Shorin Ryu Machimura-ha Suidi, Seito Kan Okinawa Shorin Ryu Machimura Autudi Tuidi, Seito Kan Okinawa Hakutsuru-jutsu, and Seito Kan Hakutsuru Ken. And were established according to the Okinawan martial art distinctive to the Matsumura family art.

5) The Japanese Aiki-jutsu, Aiki-jujutsu and Jujutsu style taught by Seitokan shall be known as Orenai Yoshin Ryu. And was established according to the Japanese martial art distinctive to the Takeda family art, merged with other Japanese classical Jujutsu and Aiki arts.

6) The Japanese Kenjutsu and Iaido style taught by Seitokan shall be known as Tenshin Omon Ryu. And was established merging and in accordance with the Japanese classical martial art distinctive to the Jigen-ryu style, the Takeda family art, and the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu style.

7) Mr. Guillermo A. Garcia, as rightful founder, is the sole owner of all rights of said martial arts traditions or styles; namely – the Okinawa Shorin Ryu Soken-ha Matsumura Seito, the Seito Kan Shorin Ryu Machimura-ha Suidi, the Seito Kan Okinawa Shorin Ryu Machimura Autudi Tuidi, the Seito Kan Okinawa Hakutsuru-jutsu, the Seito Kan Hakutsuru Ken, the Seito Kan Okinawa Kobudo, the Seito Kan Okinawa Goju-ryu Karate-Do, the Aiki-Goju Ryu, the Shorei-ha Shorin Ryu, the Seito Kan Okinawa-te, the Seito Kan Okinawa Shorin Ryu, the Seito Kan Karate-Do, the Orenai Yoshin Ryu, the Tenshin Omon Ryu, the Aich’i Shukua T’ang, and the Kuang Shen Pai styles.
